Amazon will be opening an Amazon Fresh store in the former Fairway Market location it purchased earlier this year in Woodland Park according to a report by NJ.com.

Amazon Fresh is Amazon’s grocery store concept — not to be confused with their Whole Foods subsidiary — that are very technology-forward. This includes shopping carts that track customer purchases and offer speedy checkout without waiting in line.

The first two shops opened earlier this year in California (Read Story) offering a mix of national and local brands along with their private label offerings — this would be the first location in New Jersey.

No word on an opening date or the fate of the Paramus location which they almost purchased as part of the Fairway Market deal.
