If plans move forward on proposed plans in Fort Lee, Burger King diners will have a lot easier time social distancing and limiting points of contact when ordering.

The fast food restaurant has filed an application with the borough Zoning Board, seeking variances to install a drive-through lane.

Many chains are adding or retooling plans for stores including drive-thru access since the coronavirus pandemic began. Chipotle opened their first “Chipotlane” storefront in Bergen County this summer, with their brand new location in Paramus on Route 17 (Read Story).

It’s not clear if the restaurant would need to shutdown if the process is approved, but fans of the Whopper shouldn’t be deterred — there’s plenty of other nearby places for that flamed-broiled fix.
