It’s National Taco Day, so food expert Peter Genovese over at NJ.com shared his list of The 37 best tacos you can eat in NJ (Read Full List) — up from 35 last year.

He specifically picks the best “individual tacos” at each location, likely so you don’t get stuck ordering incorrectly. This year the list — he shares one annually of the various places that range from fancy to not so fancy – has nine new shops to try.

There was only one pick in Bergen County, the local mini chain Taqueria Los Gueros — they have locations in East Rutherford, Englewood and Saddle Brook — they have 12 locations in total across Northern New Jersey.

Genovese’s choice is their al pastor tacos which he feels has a “slight edge over the steak or chicken” options.
