Gyro House, a new Mediterranean spot, has opened in New Milford.

Owners Daniel Bisse and Johan Melki are both from Sweden and have been in the restaurant business all their lives. Swedish Kabab “Gyro” Houses are very popular in throughout Sweden and the Middle East, so the pair decided  to bring their own twist on the concept to the US.

The menu includes beef gyro, chicken gyro, and falafel wraps and platters with the choice of rice, fries, and anything from the salad bar — which includes a variety of homemade toppings such as hummus, tabbouli, marinated artichoke and more.

This includes a variety of sauces used to drizzle, including spicy mayo, garlic yogurt sauce, white sauce and red sauce — all of which are homemade as well.

Rounding out the menu is burgers, cheese steaks, salad bar wraps, and build your own salad bar.

Hours of operations will be seven days a week from 11:00am till 9:00pm. Takeout and online ordering plus delivery thru third party apps will also be available.
