The Greek Flame, which opened almost three years ago in Haworth, has decided to close it’s doors for good. The restaurant received 2 1/2 stars from New Jersey Monthly (Review) as well as a Critic’s Pick in NJM’s 36th Annual Jersey Choice Restaurant Poll.

Saturday, July 11th was their last seating for dinner, with the news shared – along with a heartfelt goodbye to loyal customers – on their social media and website.

According to what they shared, ownership chose not to sign a lease extension. Though they worked through the stay-at-home shutdown with 1/3 staff and have added 6 outdoor tables since, they feel “lucky” with the timing and that they are “able to choose to close”.
