Zula Has Opened in Englewood

Zula, a Mediterranean Israeli grill, has opened in Englewood.

With the desire to bring the authentic Israeli Mediterranean food to Americans, Alon Kruvi and Avi Bacalu have both been involved in the business for a long time. Kruvi’s family has owned a few famous Tel Aviv restaurants since the 50’s and established his own restaurants — including CRISP in Bryant Park (NYC). Bacalu previously ran a small catering business in NYC, and since moving to the Englewood area in 2012 kept hearing how people wished there was a restaurant serving the food Zula is serving on their menu.

The menu covers “Mediterranean Israeli grill cuisine” (View Menu), thought it’s been adjusted for the current state of takeout only, dishes include kosher and non-kosher items pitas & platters, mezze, grilled meats by the skewer, baked pita, and more.

Everything is crafted using family recipes with a “secret blend of spices” with all food made from scratch and with the “freshest ingredients” that are “hand picked” – they grind the beef in-house for the kebabs.

Currently open 7 days a week for take out and delivery (available only next week) from 11:00 am- 8:00 pm. When dine in available, hours will be extended.
