The Hearth Tavern Has Opened in Garfield

The Hearth Tavern, a new restaurant and bar, has opened for business in Garfield.

Featuring a menu (View Menu) of traditional American classics with “an Italian twist”, including their 12″ pizzas cooked in a wood-burning oven.

For the bar, there’ll be about 21 bottles of wine, while beer will have a rotating system of 12 taps, each line dedicated to a specific beer style (i.e. IPA, DIPA) – including a large collection of craft beers (especially Jersey favorites like Cape May, Brix City, etc). Everyday brands (i.e. Budweiser, Miller, Coors) will be available in cans and bottles.

They are also embracing technology in-house. Servers will have mobile units to take orders and customers can pay bills by downloading an app to their phones. It also facilitates things like splitting checks or seeing a live tab of your order.

When they can open their dining room (it’s planned for immediately once the state lifts restrictions), they will be doing many events: bingo, trivia, wine tastings, dinner pairings, and more. Daily specials are being finalized as are plans for happy hour and reverse happy hours.

For now it’s a limited menu, which is available everyday for pickup and delivery from noon till 8:00pm.
