Two Bergen Chefs Have Launched Trunk Pop Dinners

Trunk Pop Dinners (Visit Site), a new business from two local chefs begun from the needs of the COVID-19 pandemic, has launched in the last few weeks.

Local cookbook authors and Food Network kitchen personality Marge Perry & David Bonom, are professional chefs based in Tenafly and are cooking out of the Sayola Kitchen on Prospect Street. Their new business puts out weekly three-course meals, which customers can order & pay for via Venmo. Orders must be placed by 1:00pm that day, with orders receiving a confirmation text with personalized pick-up time.

The meals are in oven-safe containers, designed to be easily reheatable. When customers pull up to the location in Tenafly, they can simply pop their trunks and their meal will be placed in the car.

And to help the community – those who have lost their jobs or are working on the medical frontlines – customers can contribute funds to their order, with every additional dollar going towards directly bringing meals to those in need according to their website.

For more information and for the current menus, visit their website (Visit Site).
