A fire last week in Ridgewood caused the destruction of two eateries, Mediterranean restaurant Mediterraneo and bagel shop Bagelicious.

The fire began in the Bagelious building and spread next door, ultimately resulting in the demolition of Mediterraneo as well.

Mediterraneo (Website) has been in the village for 16 years and has pledged they will rebuild after the outpouring of love and support from the community and loyal patrons. They’ve also created a GoFundMe page (Visit) to help raise funds so that they may quickly rebuild.

Ownership reiterated their commitment to returning on social media, even going as far as using the #Mneo2 to refer to the endeavor.
