Chef Michael Merida of Rockin’ Roots in Hillsdale (Website) along with Ben Friedman and Shilamida Kupershteyn of Riviera Produce in Englewood (Website) have joined up to serve their Pascack Valley community.

Merida opened Rockin’ Roots last year with his own spin on vegan and vegetarian cooking, while Ben and Shilamida recently launched Grateful Produce, a home delivery offshoot of their produce business.

Grateful has donated enough produce for Chef Michael to make 100 quarts of his veggie soup, which they’ll be giving away from free on Tuesday March 31st and Wednesday April 1st from 3:00-5:00pm at Rockin’ Roots.

It’s “no strings-no charge”, they just want to “give back to local families during these uncertain times”.
