Amazon Acquiring Fairway Market Lease in Paramus

Amazon had the winning bid on two North Jersey leases of Fairway Market according to a report by Supermarket News (Read Article).

They snapped up Paramus and Woodland Park for $1.2 million, though no plans for the spaces have been shared by Amazon at the moment, however the e-commerce giant opened it’s first Amazon Go Grocery store earlier this year (Read Article) in Seattle.

And the town would be a logical place for such an endeavor, it sees more retail sales (Read Article) than any other US zipcode.

Paramus was the first New Jersey location for Fairway when it opened at the Fashion Center back in 2009. The store added a liquor licence — and in turn began selling alcohol — in late 2014.
