The Simple Greek is Opening in Paramus

This information is not exactly new, as we reported that The Simple Greek was coming to Paramus almost four years ago — we’ve heard absolutely nothing since. Originally founded in Pittsburgh, the chain saw an infusion from Marcus Lemonis on CNBC’s The Profit, which began their expansion. This would be the third shop in New Jersey, they currently operate in Hamilton and Livingston.

Now there’s more info about the local development – it’s actually moving forward and the location has an address. Currently with 30+ locations, the menu (View Menu) works like a Chipotle for Greek food — diners choose a pita or bowl, then protein (chicken, gyro, steak, falafel) and finish it with toppings (vegetables, cheese) and sauces. There’s also various sides like dips, fries, salads, and more.

Now while there’s no word on an opening date, the shop is planned for 35 Plaza on Route 4 — home to other eateries like Houlihan’s and Blaze Pizza.
