Topgolf Maywood Will Be First Location in Bergen County

Topgolf, the sports entertainment brand, is rumored to be bringing their first Bergen County location to Maywood. This would be their third complex in New Jersey, the first two being Edison (opened 2016) and Mt. Laurel (opened 2018).

At Topgolf venues, guests play games swinging golf clubs at microchipped golf balls, in one of their climate-controlled hitting bays — it’s basically a high-tech driving range.

A TV screen instantly shows performance data (including accuracy and distance) to track points and game status. Each facility offers chef-driven food (View Menus), full bar menu, music, and hundreds of HDTVs.

There’s year-round programming for golfers and non-golfers including events for kids and families, social leagues, golf tournaments, lessons and other activities.

With a liquor license in hand, the rumored location is Maywood Commons, the 27 acre former Sears distribution center along Route 17 North. No expected opening date has been announced.
