Goodbye Ruby Tuesday (at Garden State Plaza)

Ruby Tuesday, the chain that became synonymous with casual dining the last three or four decades after launching 1972, has closed it’s only Bergen County location at the Paramus mall.

Known for menu staples like their endless salad bar and burgers, the brand is in the midst of a turnaround plan (Read Article) started in 2017 — they were bought by a private equity firm and have closed 120 units within the last three years.

While there’s been no immediate announcement about the closing — it’s still listed on the mall’s website — other shuttered food establishments at Garden State Plaza over the last year include longtime tenant Johnny Rockets, Salsa Arepa, and Stewart’s All American Grill.
