A new seafood restaurant chain named Hook & Reel is coming soon to Elmwood Park. It specializes in cajun seafood and the “vibrantly, flavorful and spicy cuisine of Louisiana”.

The chain operates about 10+ stores, with one already in New Jersey in West Orange — a few more are planned in Union, Kearny, and Linden. According to their website, the menu (View Menu) centers around a cajun boil, where customers can choose a seafood (clams, lobster, mussels, shrimp, etc), sauce (cajun, garlic butter, lemon pepper, etc), spiciness, and any extras like corn, potatoes, sausage and fries.

There’s also fried fish baskets, po’ boys, soups, salads, and more. No word yet on an opening date or other specifics regarding this location.
