IT’SUGAR Candy Store Coming to American Dream in East Rutherford

IT’SUGAR, the nations largest specialty candy retailer, will open the world’s first “candy department store” at American Dream in East Rutherford later this year. The chain has over 100 locations in 26 states, including a number in South Jersey and NYC. This will be the first shop in North Jersey.

What’s being described as a “completely unique retail concept”, will span 22,000 square feet over three levels – making it the world’s largest non-manufacturer candy store. Upon entering, guests will be greeted by a 60-foot replica of the Statue of Liberty, made entirely from candy.

“This concept has been a dream of mine for over 25 years and our IT’SUGAR team is thrilled to partner with American Dream to finally make it a reality,” says Jeff Rubin, Founder and CEO, IT’SUGAR. “This location will feature over 10,000 choices of candy, showcasing shops such as Sour Patch Kids, Oreo, Nerds, Reese’s, Peeps, Pez, Starbursts, and more. There is nowhere else like American Dream and we look forward to immersing the property’s millions of guests into the world of IT’SUGAR.”

Located in the mall’s entertainment atrium, IT’SUGAR will be adjacent to the DreamWorks Water Park, Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park, and an NHL regulation sized ice rink.
