True Food Kitchen Expanding to Hackensack

True Food Kitchen, a fast growing (Oprah is an investor) healthy restaurant chain founded by Dr. Andrew Weil (physician and doctor of integrative medicine), is expected at The Shops at Riverside in Hackensack. According to a quick on their website, this would be their first New Jersey location.

Built on the belief that food should make people feel better, foods are chosen and prepared based on science — to help achieve “optimum health” over one’s lifetime. Choices of salads, pizzas, bowls, burgers, sandwiches and other entrees cover a majority of the eats — including brunch and kids menu — plus a bar with craft cocktails, various wine, and beer.

The menu (View Menu) rotates regularly, allowing guests to experience different dishes and drinks, each crafted from seasonal ingredients so they can be eaten at “the peak of their freshness”.

No word yet on when this might/will actually happen without an official announcement — or where in the mall it will actually be located — taking bets for those who want to guess. It looks like they’ll be a wait till more info becomes available.
