Jersey Hot Sauce Company Named Grand World Champion

Northern New Jersey-based Jersey Barnfire Hot Sauce was recently awarded two championship prizes at the 2019 NYC Hot Sauce Expo (Visit Site) held at the Brooklyn Expo Center for its popular Indian Summer hot sauce – winning awards for Grand World Champion and Caribbean Style.

Indian Summer is Jersey Barnfire’s sauce created in collaboration with Fuego Box, the top monthly hot sauce subscription box. The best-seller sauce blurs the lines between a Caribbean scotch bonnet pepper sauce and a Carolina gold style barbeque sauce. The award-winning sauce is mustard-based with mango and a touch of curry. While Indian Summer has been sold exclusively via Fuego Box, it is now available where Jersey Barnfire Hot Sauce products are sold.

Since its humble beginnings at local farmers’ markets in 2014, to its participation at the prestigious industry event, New York City Hot Sauce Expo, Jersey Barnfire Hot Sauce owes its rapid growth to its popularity with consumers across the Garden State, with local restaurants and avid fans of monthly hot sauce subscription boxes.

Jersey Barnfire co-founders Chef John Sauchelli has also announced that starting with the 2019 growing season, Indian Summer will be made using peppers farmed at East Coast Organics – a small scale organic farm located in Long Valley, NJ.

Jersey Barnfire’s sauces can be purchased via the company’s website and a few retailers in Bergen County including Market House in Westwood (Visit Site).
