Local Jersey Ironbound Hard Cider Opens Tasting Room

Located in a renovated 18th-century barn set amidst 108 acres of apple orchards and organic gardens, the Tasting Room at Ironbound Farm is now open for business in Asbury, NJ (Visit Website).

Ironbound’s award-winning handcrafted ciders (made without any added sugar, preservatives, or concentrate) are made at Ironbound Farm, where three core ciders are always on tap, along with a selection of limited-edition ciders (such as Gooseberry Ginger and Black Tea and Lemon) and farm-blended wines that are available only at the farm.

Made from fresh-pressed apples grown in New Jersey and neighboring states, Ironbound offers a “balanced, not-too-sweet flavor profile” and is also available at the Prudential Center in Newark, at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, and in over 500 bars, restaurants, and retailers throughout New Jersey.

The Tasting Room at Ironbound Farm also offers a menu of Jersey street food that’s “farmed up” with locally grown and foraged ingredients and prepared over open fires by the Ironbound culinary team.

Ironbound Burger: Double Brook Farm grass-fed beef with melted Bobolink cheese, Ironbound pickles, and fresh seasonal toppings grown at Ironbound and neighboring farms, served on a brioche bun made with local organic grains from Zeng Family Farms

Yak Chili Dog: Hot dog made from Double Brook Farm pasture-raised beef, topped with locally-made mustard, onions, and chili made from yak raised at WoodsEdge Farm

Farmhouse Vegan Burger: 100% gluten and soy-free all-vegan burger from Will’s Amazing Vegan Burgers, served with fresh seasonal toppings grown at Ironbound and neighboring farms.

Lamb Sausage & Peppers: Perfectly seasoned sausage made from lamb raised at Mt. Salem Farm and topped with Ironbound Farm peppers

Ironbound is nearing completion of a new outdoor bar and dining pavilion surrounded by a five-acre garden of heirloom vegetables, culinary herbs, and native wildflowers. The centerpiece of this open-air event space is a 26-foot-tall Argentinian grill where the Ironbound culinary team will spit-roast, smoke, and grill Jersey seafood and locally raised meats.

Hours of operation are Thursdays and Fridays (5-9pm), Saturdays (Noon-8pm) and Sundays (Noon-6pm), and the address is 360 County Road 579, Asbury, NJ (Hunterdon County).
