The lists are endless from NJ.com writer Peter Genovese, this time ranking N.J.’s 25 best grilled cheese sandwiches (Read Full List) all for for National Grilled Cheese Month.

He calls it the “ultimate comfort food”, something perfect for that “dreariest of days”. With claims of it being “overlooked and underappreciated” (we tend to disagree, but digress) there’s also the issues of so many places “getting it wrong”. No diners were reviewed, though Genovese hit up spots all around the state for almost a week.

Though this list cover the entire state, there were two Bergen establishments mentioned: Biddy O’Malleys for their Three Cheese Toasty (Englewood/Northvale, Visit Website), and Twisted Elm for their Braised Short Rib Grilled Cheese (Elmwood Park, Visit Website).
