Opening Alert: Urban Tomato, Palisades Park, NJ
Urban Tomato, a pizzeria and coffee bar, has opened in Palisades Park.
This is a gas oven operation (double deck Bakers Pride ovens) from two members of the team previously at Brick Oven Pizza in North Bergen. After some experimenting they’re using a trump and durum flour combination with a 65% hydration.
The menu (View Menu on Seamless) of “creative” pizza, salads, sandwiches and a few pasta dishes. On the coffee side of things, they’ve partnered with Toby’s Estate and will feature use of their beans.
