G.O.A.T. Coffeehouse, which opened late 2018 in Lyndhurst, is closing it’s doors this month. No other specifics were given, though they shared a heartfelt message on their social media accounts (Facebook Post) this morning:

It is with great sadness that we let our loyal customers know that GOAT will close its doors permanently at some point in July. After deep consideration, we have concluded that it is the best decision. Im a writer so I want to send a small message to those who care to read.

I walked into the doors in May of 2018 with hopes and dreams unimaginable. I had a vision and passion for what was about to come to Lyndhurst, NJ. While in a moment of emotion, it may seem like defeat, I see this as the most valuable lesson life has taught me. I do not regret a moment in the shop. I met incredible people, formed new friendships and there is no price too high to have paid for all the memories we created at GOAT. From our morning conversations, to shared stories, some happy ones some that brought me to tears, to our trivia nights to partnering with our local heroes and being a staple in the community. In a short 2 years I learend more than I could have ever imagined.
