Zinburger Closing Most Locations Including Paramus

Zinburger, the wine and burger concept that hit North Jersey back in 2010, has shared they will closing all but three stores due to the pandemic.

The post on their homepage (Visit Site) promises that Marlboro and Bridgewater will re-open along with the Clifton location — which has remained open for delivery and takeout during the lockdown.

Using logic, this would mean that their Paramus (Garden State Plaza) and Nanuet (The Shops at Nanuet) restaurants are closed for good.

Of course the pain in Paramus began a while before COVID-19, when the chain sued the mall last year (Read Article) after renovations and the shuttering of JCPenney turned their area into a ghost town of sorts.

Most of the reporting at the time seemed heavily slanted in favor of the tenant, but it would seem that the area of the mall was a concern as far back as 2013 (before the changes and current pandemic), when it became the only location (to our knowledge) that began offering all day happy hour on Sundays — offering heavy discounts on alcohol, burgers, and salads — though one could chalk that up to blue laws.
