More than 300 chicken wing connoisseurs will gather to gobble up more than 5,000 wings at the 6th Annual A Wing and A Prayer competition on Saturday, March 10.

The hugely popular event to benefit the St. Francis Food Pantry is hosted by a volunteer group of parishioners, the St. Francis Helpers and will run on Saturday, March 10, 6 PM – 9 PM at the Hoboken Elks Lodge (1005 Washington St.). The 13 participating restaurants represent a broad collection of Hoboken businesses from throughout the Mile Square City.

Attendees will cast their votes to determine which local establishment can lay claim to the title of “Best Chicken Wings in Hoboken” Tickets are $40 and include all you-can-eat wings, sides beer and wine.

The lineup will feature: Antique Bar & Bakery (122 Willow); Biggie’s (36-42 Newark St.); Carpe Diem (1405 Grand St.); Finnegan’s (734 Willow); Green Rock Tap & Grill 70 Hudson); The Madison Bar & Grill (1316 Washington); Napoli’s (1118 Washington); Northern Soul (700 1st St); The Shepherd & The Knucklehead (1313 Willow); San Giuseppe (1320 Adams); Tony Boloney’s (263 1st); Union Hall (306 Sinatra) and The Village Pourhouse (205 1st St.)

Sponsors include Peerless Beverage, Munchy’s and Hoboken Elk’s Lodge #74. Headlining the evening’s entertainment is the award-winning band, Cecilia Celeste.
