Uno Mas, a modern Mexican restaurant, has opened in downtown Allendale.

It’s the sixth restaurant for Bergen natives Joey and Dan Grey, who own (among others) Hoboken restaurants Grand Vin, Saku, and Touch the Heart.

The eatery has replaced Bernie’s Bagels, with hopes to “do something a little different” in the area.

Menu items cover traditional and contemporary dishes using homemade tortillas crafted from local masa, “quality cuts of meat” — proteins like al pastor, short rib, and red snapper — along with a selection of “mock-aritas”.

Food is handled by chef and partner Adam Rose, who’s popular Mexican restaurant Villalobos closed in Montclair last May.

It’s currently open six days a week (closed Mondays).
