Opening Alert: La Cambusa, Wyckoff, NJ

La Cambusa Ristorante, the latest restaurant from the Parlato family, has opened in Wyckoff. A father/son business, Anthony and Nino Parlato are running the show with Anthony handling operations and Nino oversees all of their cooks as Executive Chef. The elder Parlato first opened La Cambusa in Fair Lawn back in 1996 and Ridgewood in 2004. After selling the business and taking a three year hiatus, they returned with a restaurant in Garfield. That restaurant was sold this past December. With over 90 years combined experience and many family restaurant connections — his older brother owns Positano, Anthony’s mother’s family opened Villa Amalfi in Cliffside Park — all the pieces “fell into place” for the new space in Wyckoff. Described as an “upscale casual restaurant” serving authentic Italian cuisine”, expect ambiance that is “elegant and chic, with a comfortable feel”. The restaurant does not have liquor, but will use it’s existing bar to focus on zero proof libations featuring fresh seasonal items. They will also have guest wine lockers available for rent and an event space for groups up to 80 people. The menu draws inspiration from southern Italy, specifically the Campania region and the Amalfi Coast. Right now they are serving dinner Tuesday thru Sunday, with lunch to follow eventually.
