Opening Alert: Jerk’D, Hackensack, NJ

Jerk’D, a modern Caribbean kitchen, has opened in Hackensack. The work of restaurateur Jamaican-born Marva Layne – she owned a Jamaican pastry bakery in NYC back in 1987 as well as two locations of Negril Village (NYC, Atlanta).

The menu (View Menu) includes proteins like chicken, salmon, and oxtail served with/in plates, pasta, bowls, sandwiches, organic salads and more – with chicken served being antibiotic-free and free-range. All their dishes are made from scratch everyday, with flavors achieved by a “skillfull combination of herbs and spices”.
