Lido in Hackensack Closing for Renovations

Lido, the popular old-school bar and restaurant in Hackensack, has announced some changes starting very soon. Rumors of it’s demise having been swirling for sometime, so the news is likely welcome to longtime fans.

Widely heralded for their pizza, sliced steak sandwiches and dim lighting, ownership took to Facebook sharing they would be closing at the end of November for renovations (View Post), promising no major changes to the menu including the aforementioned pizza and steaks plus their “secret recipe” house dressing. Also according to the post, the space itself will only be receiving a “face lift”.

Work is expected to take one month, with a reopening aimed for some time in January.

Accolades come high and far for the business, it was named the #1 Old School Restaurant by NJ.com this year (Read Full Article).  Thru the end of the month — and hopefully once again very early in the new year — Lido is open seven days a week.
