Bobcat’s Texas BBQ, the restaurant serving “authentic Texas BBQ — ie “slow smoked meats” — in Ramsey, has expanded with a new location in Edgewater (by Trader Joes).

Owner Lisa Johnson has brought a menu of her dad’s BBQ recipes including (View Menu) meats like brisket, pork ribs, pulled pork, and sausage with side dishes like potato salad, coleslaw, mac & cheese, collard greens and more. All of which are cooked low and slow with pecan wood in a custom built indoor 2000lb smoker.

Meats are available by the pound, as a plate with sides, or as a sandwich. Sides are currently available in three sizes.

They will also be carrying Texas standbys like Big Red Soda and Blue Bell ice cream as dessert. Johnson is pushing to be open by Memorial Day weekend if possible.
