Opening Alert: White Maple Cafe, Ridgewood, NJ
White Maple Cafe, the contemporary American restaurant with a selection of familiar dishes with a local focus comprised of “seasonal, sustainable, and antibiotic-free ingredients”, from owner Ryan Brining (Daniel in NYC) has opened in Ridgewood.
Brining has launched with a menu (Dinner Menu, Lunch Menu) of soups, salads, flatbreads and mains featuring chicken, steak and fish. It’s rounded out with wine from Ventimiglia Vineyard and a mocktail menu and house-made sodas – milkshakes are crafted from gelato made at small batch purveyor Bucket & Bay in Jersey City.
The restaurant has 50 seats in the dining room and an additional 16 on the outside patio – weather permitting. The space has been renovated (previously Heidi’s Bakery) with a new mosaic floor tile, hand-hewn barn beams, exposed brick, concrete counter-top, and a living wall will as part of the decor.
White Maple Cafe will be open seven days for dinner, with lunch service weekdays (Monday-Friday). They will also offer brunch, which is expected to launch soon.
