Ojangdong Hamheung Opening Location in Fort Lee
Ojangdong Hamheung, a family-owned Korean restaurant that has been in business since 1953, appears to be opening in Fort Lee.
The original restaurant specializes in Naengmyeon – cold buckwheat noodles that are prepared Hamheung-style.
Made from potato starch, which gives them a chewier texture than other styles, they are then served with sauce, cold beef and boiled egg.
The original restaurant in Korea was featured in the Micheline Guide Seoul 2020 as a Bib Gourmand – spotlights restaurants that serve “high-quality meals which include two courses and a glass of wine or dessert for $40 or less”.
