Four Bergen County Shops Have Best Ice Cream in Jersey

NJ.com writer Peter Genovese has once again revealed his latest best of list, this time with his list of N.J.’s best ice cream: The 35 sweetest spots around the state (Read Full Article).

Revealed to coincide with July, which is National Ice Cream Month, it is based on his “widespread ice cream travels around New Jersey” with a “recent ice cream road trip” that “covered 900 miles”. Bergen County was a winner four times, with both old-timers and newcomers to the list.

Ice Cream by Mike in Ridgewood (Website) was called “Bergen County’s best ice cream” and he suggests the French vanilla or lemon.

Longtime stalwart Conrad’s Confectionary in Westwood (Website) was highlighted for their Black Raspberry.

While Cranberry Junction in Hackensack (Website) made the cut with it’s chocolate and coconut options.

Finally there was Van Dyks in Ridgewood, another old-time spot that is cash only and has been serving ice cream for almost 50 years.
