Jim Dandy’s in Rutherford, “the home of the killer ribs”, experienced a devastating fire on Wednesday in the early morning hours.

Luckily there were no injuries but significant damage was made to the restaurant structure, in particular their kitchen — which has prevented them from continuing their work donating to healthcare workers and first responders,  plus selling essential grocery items to customers.

Owner Brian Flynn has pledged that the restaurant “will be back stronger than before” and “will continue to support Veterans, Rutherford and the surrounding communities” on social media. Their Nutley location remains open at this time.
