In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Nutley-based frozen meal brand Happi Foodi (Website) has created The Foodie Fund (Website), a way to raise funds for food and beverage donations helping organizations working to fight hunger and help those most in need.

Proceeds from The Foodie Fund are going towards purchasing food and beverage products for national organizations that support local food banks. When people donate to The Foodie Fund, their donation goes further since Happi Foodi is able to “purchase food and beverages at or below cost”.

Last week they brought a truck filled with 28,000 meals to New York City, one of the epicenters of the COVID-19 outbreak — Happi Foodi partnered with several organizations like Rethink Food NYC, Public Health Solutions, RCANO Events and the NYC COVID-19 Rapid Response Coalition. The meals were hand-delivered to communities in need: from shelters, to senior residential housing and beyond.
