Hiram’s in Fort Lee and White Manna in Hackensack are Best for Takeout

NJ.com food expert Pete Genovese is hearing the rough struggle for restaurants and has put together his latest list for readers. Since places aren’t available for dine-in he’s compiled his picks for “The 21 best N.J. dishes are available right now for takeout” (Read Full List).

Bergen County dishes made two spots on the list, both of which are served at longtime classic eateries. He suggests the double cheeseburger with onions at White Manna in Hackensack (Website), noting that “nothing gets my burger juices going” quite like it.

The other pick is the chili dog at Hiram’s in Fort Lee (Instagram), which Genovese swears is “is one of the state’s five best”.

Other nearby spots mentioned were Al Raouche in Paterson (Facebook) for it’s shish kabob and Rutt’s Hut (Website) for it’s ripper.
