Closing Time for OD’s Tavern in Nyack

OD’s Tavern, the latest incarnation of O’Donoghue’s Tavern in Nyack, has closed it’s doors. The original tavern closed back in April of 2015, with new ownership operating for the last four and a half years.

A well known historic space , the bar was a speakeasy during Prohibition (Learn More). This time around they offered a farm to table menu with many organic ingredients including gluten free and vegan options.

The news was shared via their social media (View Facebook) and comes only a week or so after the closing (Read Post) of Pie Lady & Son, another Nyack eatery.

The full quote from the social media post: “It comes with a heavy heart that we have decided to close OD’s Tavern. Over the past 4 1/2 years we so enjoyed being a part of Nyack’s vibrant community and we’ll surely miss it. We have the fondest memories of all the fun we’ve had and our wonderful patrons and thank you to our dedicated and hard working staff, our loyal customers, the musicians and artists and everybody behind the scenes that made OD’s happen. Best of health to all of you! Love and Peace, From all of us”

No word on if there is a replacement coming to the space.
