More than just cheese on a cracker, these dishes transform when “incorporated into a recipe by an inspired cook”.
Of the five eateries named, Pelicana Chicken — which has two locations in Bergen County (Dumont, Palisades Park) — came in at number five for it’s Yellow snowing cheese fries. Described as a “salty, smoky, and creamy basket of joy”, their fries are dressed with a gooey cheese “identified” as cheddar and some crumbled bacon.
Both Pelicana locations are open seven days a week, with Palisades Park open late nightly with full bar.
