The team at Thrillist has updated their list sharing the Best Ramen Restaurants in America (Read Full List).

No longer associated with the instant variety, ramen has been elevated to art form here in the states with many options available across the the nation. Choices were pulled together from recommendations of ramen chefs, sushi chefs, homestyle Japanese chefs and more.

New Jersey is home to one of the shops with Santouka, which can be found inside Mitsuwa Marketplace, the Japanese grocery store chain in Edgewater. The chain has locations all over the world, but hails from Hokkaido, Japan. Their ramen (the broth cooked for 30 hours) is described as “silky tonkotsu” that should be upgraded to their  Tokusen Toriniku Ramen that provides a side of “buttery-soft sliced pork cheeks”.

For those going for a visit soon, it’s open seven days a week from 11:30am till 8:00pm.
