It’s not news that CMX will be opening their second New Jersey theater at American Dream – Boozy Burbs reported this (View Story) over four years ago. But more specifically, it’s now confirmed to be home for one of their CinéBistro locations.

CMX CinéBistro, is a “world-class dinner-and-a-movie concept” that offers reserved seating, roomy high-back leather chairs, and full service in-theater dining from a scratch kitchen plus full bar. This is significantly different than what can be ordered at the existing Closter theater.

Their flagship Manhattan outlet – opened on the UES last year (Read Article) – serves dishes like Wagyu Beef Sliders, Short Rib Tater Tots, Shrimp Fried Rice, Impossible Meatball Hero, and more (View Menu). Guests are expected to arrive at least 30 minutes in advance to take advantage of the dining experience, when all orders are taken for the kitchen – regular movie snacks (popcorn, etc) can still be purchased anytime before, during, or after the show. Another interesting tidbit… according to their website, it’s only ages 21+ after 6pm.

It’s been a slow opening for the mall with few operating tenants at the moment, but the theater is currently hiring to staff the operation, so perhaps they’ll be ready in March when a large number of stores are expected to open.
