Mamoun’s Falafel Shutters in Fort Lee

Mamoun’s Falafel, the New York City falafel shop that opened a year and half ago at the Hudson Lights complex in Fort Lee, appears to have closed. This is the second eatery to close at the development after 16 Handles.

A sign in the window shares that they “are temporarily closed for repairs”, however a call to the business resulted in a message that the number was not in service. The location is still listed on the Mamoun’s website.

The 1600 square foot location offered a menu (View Menu) of Mamoun’s signature items including: salad, soup, vegetarian or meat sandwiches or plates and a la carte combo plates. All of the items are made from scratch: including its falafel and shawarma dishes, sides of hummus, and desserts like baklava.

It’s not the end of the chain in Bergen County, locations are expected to open next year in both Paramus and Easy Rutherford.
