Rockin’ Roots in Hillsdale Launching Dinner Service

Rockin’ Roots, the new plant-based cafe from chef Michael Merida in Hillsdale, has made good on their promise for dinner offerings — beginning Friday, December 6th.

For a quick refresher, Merida is currently a partner and chef at Montclair Social Club (Website) — though he’s probably best known locally for his time at Mezza in Westwood and then Cravings Tapas Bistro in Ridgewood. A fine dining veteran, he’s spent time earlier in his career at highly regarded establishments like El Bulli in Spain and Le Bernardin in Manhattan.

As far as the food, there will be two tasting menus (View 12/6 Menu) available — one vegetarian ($50 per person) and one pescatartian ($70 per person) that are constantly rotating. When booking, guests will be asked which menu they will be choosing for the evening.

There will not be an a la carte option and dinner will be available Friday and Saturday nights beginning at 6:30pm.
