For the 3rd year in a row, Dawn Foods was on the search for the Sweetest Bakery in America. Bakery customers around the country voted from July 1st through September 30th and the winners were just announced (View Winners).

New this year in the contest along with crowning one Grand Prize Winner, there were three winners in each state. Prizes were awarded to the top full line bakery, top donut shop and top cake/cupcake shop in each state.

For the state of New Jersey, the top donut shop was D’Ercole Donuts in Northvale. They’ve been operating next door to their farm & garden center since 2017 offering a menu (View Menu) of homemade cake and devil’s food donuts that are peanut and tree nut free.

They are open six days (closed Mondays) a week from 7:00am till 5:00pm according to their website.
