Highly Recommend, a column from Bon Appetit magazine that’s “dedicated to our very opinionated editors’ favorite things to eat, drink, and buy” has a new article titled The Best NYC Day Trip Is to a Japanese Grocery Store in New Jersey (Read Full Article).

WHile the author discuss the fun with day trips from the city, mostly based on the time of year and the weather – their favorite trip to make during any season is Mitsuwa, the Japanese grocery store in Edgewater.

Highlights are Mitsuwa’s food court and 15 restaurant stalls, with suggestions like tempura from Tendon Hannosuke, and pork katsu from Wateishoku Kaneda. Of course they highly suggest shopping the grocery store as well, with the many different choices they have available. And don’t forget that Japaense dollar store chain Daiso (Website) has opened in the same shopping center.
