D’avant Sushi in Fort Lee Reboots As Omakase Destination

D’avant Sushi of Fort Lee, which opened back in January, has changed the whole concept of their space from casual to a fine dining omakase Japanese restaurant.

They reopened over a week ago and their sourcing fish from local fish markets — claiming the quality is equal or surpasses most omakase restaurants in NYC. There’s much more of a fish variety now, with some of the choices for omakase dishes may not be offered a la carte — plus there may be different seasonal fish available daily. This is all handled by their chef Mason, who has over 20 years of experience, working in Japan, Korea and Manhattan.

The menu (see below) was designed to be “very reasonable”, despite the “top notch” quality. It also includes the full a la carte menu, which covers much of the usual sushi restaurant fare.

The restaurant is open seven days a week, Monday thru Saturday from 11:30am-10:30pm and Sunday from 11:30am-10:00pm.
