Daiso Opens First New Jersey Store in Edgewater

Daiso, a chain that is Japan’s answer to the dollar store — it sells “high quality” items for around $1.99 each, has opened their first New Jersey store in Edgewater. It is the second store in the region, along with a Flushing (Queens) shop that opened back in March.

The 7,000 square feet store features school supplies, entertaining and organizing supplies plus thousands of products ranging from beauty supplies, stationery, gift wrap, greeting cards, electronics accessories, gift items, and for Boozy Burbs fans: kitchenware and snacks.

Daiso is particularly eager to share that their products are the subject of hundreds of “haul” videos on sites like YouTube. From cosmetics, crafts and slime videos, fans share how-to videos and tutorials using Daiso products.

While most items sell for $1.99, certain products may be priced above or below this amount. For those visiting, the store is located at the shopping center shared with Mitsuwa Marketplace.
