Grub Cafe in West Nyack is Now Crossroads Gastro

Crossroads Gastro is the new name of Grub Cafe in West Nyack, which Waree Dinsay and Corey Weiss opened back in January. Amid some confusion with Grub Asian (also owned by Waree) a few doors down, the name change is now official as of late April.

Weiss, who is the main chef alongside chef Eric Mann, has been in the hospitality business for 17 years — everything from dishwasher to head chef. He spent three years managing TFS (West Haverstraw), while Mann ran the kitchen at O’Donahue’s (Nyack).

The menu (View Menu) of this “fully scratch” kitchen is being described as “New American Comfort food” — a combination of small bites, tapas, sandwiches, salads and entrees — plus there’s a “chalkboard menu” of daily specials. They grind meats in-house for burgers and sausage (stuffed in-house too), while also making the pasta, cheese, fries, sauces, pickled items (pretty much everything) and more from scratch.

Trying to source as local as possible — plans are to one day turning the daily specials into a “farm to table hyper local menu” with items from farms no further than 75 miles from the shop — the 16 seat restaurant (another 25 or so outside) is open Tuesday thru Saturday from 11:00am-9:00pm.
