Opening Alert: Boom Burger, Clifton, NJ

Boom Burger has made it’s triumphant return this past week, with a grand opening weekend at it’s new home in Clifton.

Much of Boom’s specialty at it’s previous home in Rochelle Park had been the bar, which makes sense as owner PK has operated and worked within many nightlife concepts over the years (Metro Lounge, New York Steak House, Circa). But food isn’t left to flounder at Boom, he’s brought in a new chef who’s most recently spent time working for fine dining expert Jamie Knott at his Saddle River Inn.

The classic Boom dishes (View Menu) are still here — a large number of signature burgers still using a custom Pat LaFrieda beef for patties and a Martin’s seeded bun — plus their hand cut fries, homemade chicken tenders, tuna, and more. Additions include a number of tater tot bowls to share — they can be covered with various toppings — poke bowls, and a new salmon entree. There’s also a couple of new burgers and now the availability of Impossible Burger as a protein replacement.

PK is particularly proud of the ceiling mounted tap system — which was custom designed and installed — including 32 heads for beer. The other classic Boom bar items like sangria and beer towers are still on the menu too. There will be outdoor seating and the front-located garage doors will be opened with the warmer weather.
