Koffeewagon Roasters Expanding to Fort Lee

Koffeewagon Roasters is expanding from their digs in Hasbrouck Heights with a new shop soon in Fort Lee. The first retail storefront (Hasbrouck Heights) opened over three years ago (Article) by Bruce “Juan” Pettineo, who had been roasting beans for over three years in Garfield — though new majority ownership is stewarding the brand forward.

They offer single origin coffee, some of which are organic and fair-trade.  Roasts run the gamut from light to dark — all crafted from Arabica beans. The drinks menu includes pour overs, cold brew, espresso, and teas.

Awards have been in the mix for Koffeewagon, they’ve been named best in New Jersey twice — once by USA Today (Article) and once by Cosmopolitan online (Article). No word yet on a specific opening date.
