Chosen by food writer Peter Genovese, the latest list of N.J.’s 32 coziest restaurants to warm up in on a cold night (View List) has been revealed. The Barn in Wyckoff and Chakra in Paramus were the only two making the cut.

The Barn (Website) was an actual barn from 1779 that’s been converted into a “rustic hangout” describes itself as a “casual family eater” in a “speakeasy atmosphere with rustic décor” known for their burgers and ribs.

Chakra (Website) was described as “elegant, cozy, intimate” and that diners should not “forget that palm tree in the middle of the dining room”. Chef and owner Thomas Ciszak is also planning on opening a French brasserie in Closter later this year (Read Article).
