Assaggi e Vino in Suffern is Marcello’s Next Act

Marcello’s—a traditional northern Italian restaurant that’s been operating in Suffern, NY for 32 years—is in the process of creating a dual-concept restaurant space.

Recognizing the increasingly popular demand for a more modern, casual dining experience, the owners of Marcello’s are creating two rooms in their restaurant: Assaggi e Vino and Elegant Events.

The Assaggi e Vino room (View Menu) will feature smaller plates in addition to the typical large plate and a wine and cocktail bar.

The Elegant Events room will serve as a banquet space for occasions like anniversary, engagement and graduation parties and small weddings. It’s currently being expanded and is expected to hold about 70 people with a small dance floor and about 90 people without a dance floor.

When planning their events, customers can personalize the Elegant Events room to their liking. Whether it’s lunch or dinner, they will have the option to choose from seven catering menus. As far as the banquet room’s atmosphere, customers can select the LED lighting colors they want, and speakers will be provided for people to connect their own music if they do not wish to hire a DJ. An Apple TV will be of particular interest for corporate parties, as it can be used for streaming and displaying content, such as YouTube videos and PowerPoint presentations.

Assagi e Vino’s soft opening hours are Wednesday through Saturday from 4-11 p.m. and Sunday from 4-8 p.m. until August 11, which is when the Elegant Events room will officially open.
